The Best Concert Ever
On January 18, 2007 at 7:00, I was at the Pacific Coliseum at the PNE acompanied by my friends Marie & Michael, my sister, Sarah and her friend Ellen. I specifically came for Evanescence but of course, along with the main, awesome band, you have to hear the very mediocre bands that are extremely inferior to the main band. Anyways, we had to sit through Black Maria and Stone Sour. Black Maria is an unsung band and it should remain that way. All they did was scream so loud that you couldn't hear them and swear. Stone Sour was the same way. The only song you could understand was their mainstream song, Through Glass. All through their portion it was just swearing. Then Evanescence came. THEY WERE AWESOME. NO swear words. She was absolutely stunning. She wore a black dress with pink feathers on it. I was singing along. Actually it was more screaming. I feel sorry for the people in front of us. The first three songs in order were "Sweet Sacrifice" (as I predicted) "Weight of the World" & "Going Under". The band was awesome. When they started playing "Your Star," I screamed "You're my star, Amy" which got some people laughing. They said at one part, "Forgive us, we haven't played this song to much" but they played it awesome. The song: "Cloud Nine"!!! For their new single: "Lithium," they brought a whole snow effect for it and made it look so cool. After the song, she said "I brought up the idea of the snow effect for the song and I thought it would be such a cool idea but then I remembered: Oh, yeah. We're going to Canada." After that, they played "Whisper" in which she did the operatic solo before the long guitar solo. I didn't know she actually sang that part. Then I heard violins playing and my heart jumped. They were gunna sing "Lacrymosa," my absolute favorite song from their new album. That was definately the highlight of the night. Then I came home with an awesome t-shirt with a picture of the band on the front and the tour on the back. All in all it was the best concert ever.
