The music rippled through her ears. Her music was obviously too loud but he didn’t care. She put on her black shoes and put her music on pause while she said goodbye to her family.
As Alexa left the house, the fourteen-year old felt the harsh winter breeze blow through her long, black hair. The wind was hurting her vibrantly blue eyes. She stepped back in and decided to put on a bit more than she was wearing. She threw on a green jacket, a scarf her mother had knit for her and some sunglasses.
Again, she left her family behind. She walked up the street to the corner store and got the usual Coca-Cola and ham sandwich. The sandwich had the mayonnaise she liked, the tangy and smooth type. She continued on to the town and walked towards the high school she had adored for the two years she had attended. She came to it, stopped and turned around.
“Alexa!” the screechy, annoying voice rang out.
“Hi, Sandra,” Alexa said with the certain unmistakable tone of loathing. “So, what are you doing here?” Alexa asked feeling obligated.
“Waiting for you!” Sandra squealed.
Alexa couldn’t stand the sound of this girl’s voice. Whenever she spoke, it sounded like nails flowing their way along the chalkboard, making a gruesome sound and making everyone cringe.

Wow, there's some pretty intense imagery in there, Kory. From writer to writer, I want more! Ever thought of entering a competition?
